Definitely watch for snowflake_challenge in January, which is one of the biggest events in DW and especially fandom.

I do a lot of fantasy with occasional forays into other genres. It depends on what people prompt for. I run a Poetry Fishbowl on the first Tuesday of each month that is lots of fun.
