Name: Halima
Age: 23
Location: Europe
About Me: I'm a university student of twenty-three, a writer, a reader, a linguist and language learner. My current major (B.A.) is English, with a minor in PoliSci, and once I have my degree, I hope to move on to an M.A. in European Languages.
About My Journal: An eclectic mix of talk about fandom, writing (often fanfic, though occasionally also original), real life and university.
What I Write: So far, I've written mostly fanfic. A lot of romance, angst-in-romance, introspection, friendship, that sort of thing. And episode tags for tv shows, bits that I thought were missing or could've been explored differently.
What I Don't Write: Plot? I mean, I want to write it, but I suck at it. Definitely something I need to work on. And I've been bad at finishing (or even working on past the 2k mark) original fic.
What I Read: Pretty much anything. For fanfic, mostly romance and friendship fic. For other fic, really, anything. Not so much on the romance front there, but rather adventures, exciting things, historical things, etc etc. And I also read non-fiction loads, particularly when it's about Africa(n history / politics) and colonialism.
What I Don't Read: George Martin, Twilight. Probably a few other things I can't think of right now.
Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Proofread? Yes. Edit properly? Not really. I always think, especially when it's original and not fanfic, that the author knows their characters and plots and settings best, so I'd feel weird suggesting changes, if that makes any sense.
