About Me: I'm a rather silly guy, I'd say; just your local disabled queer with a tendency to talk a lot! I consider myself an artist, writer, and a self-defined "general enthusiast". A fandom geek who uses "I am cringe, but I am free" as my personal life's motto, so expect accordingly!
About My Journal: My journal is public, and I don't make locked posts. I journal about my fandoms, my interests, and my personal life! I additionally post all of my writing here. If you're looking for my fannish writing specifically, it's all crossposted to [personal profile] fairyfic. I'm going to be posting a lot about Rough Draft Month (an alternative to NaNoWriMo) throughout November!

What I Write: I write fanfiction, meta, and essays on topics that interest me! In terms of fanfic, I consider myself someone who specializes in gen and M/M works, with themes of queerness, disability and mental health.
What I Don't Write: I don't write any original fiction at the moment, but I may try my hands at it someday! I'm also far too private to post smut publicly.

What I Read: Basically, the same stuff that I write! And I also love digging my teeth into some poetry.
What I Don't Read: Fiction which has pedophilic and incestuous relationships depicted positively are a 'no' for me. I'm also, again, far too private to interact with smut publicly.

About me: I've been online since I was a young weirdo, and now I have become an elder weirdo. I'm one of the folks who got my start over on Livejournal, actually, and then had to emigrate when it went to shit. I've had a Dreamwidth ever since. Even though I'll float around to other sites for a while, this is the stable foundation of my internet presence and I will try (keyword: try) to copy the posts and things that matter most to me over here for posterity.

I'm in Fandom, capital F, because even when I'm not in a particular fandom, I am still hanging out with people who are, participating in the culture and community and all that. At the moment, I am between fandoms, unless you count friends' original characters and settings (the ultimate small fandoms!). Although truthfully I almost never completely fall out of them. Perennial favorites include Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes, Devil May Cry, Farscape, Star Trek, Star Wars (I mostly lurk the original series although some of the recent series have given me the tingle), Coldfire Trilogy, Trigun, Hannibal, Transformers... An incomplete list.

I get into book fandoms a lot. I am also a huge fan of some things I'm not in fandom about, such as Lord of the Rings, Quantum Leap, Babylon 5, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer and a wide variety of other TV shows and anime and yet more books and comics.

And gardening, and birds. Especially parrots. I have a box of bulbs that just arrived that needs planting this weekend. Also libraries, and social media. I believe in preserving culture for the future, but also that people deserve control of their own information. I believe in a decentralized internet and I actively support small and startup platforms like Dreamwidth, Pillowfort and Neocities, the indieweb and federation.

About My Journal:  Fandom, personal life, gardening, birds, whatever is on my mind. Somehow recently not my writing. I have been writing! I have a whole bunch of short stories I could and should AND WILL copy over here. Any minute now.

I do vanish for fairly long periods sometimes, when I get distracted by shinies elsewhere. But I come back eventually.

What I Write: Historically, a lot of fanfiction. Lately I've been working more on my own original stories, though. Usually queer/genderqueer. I like fantasy, scifi and horror--that speculative fiction goodness. I write sex (often weird), and violence, sometimes together, and I like getting deep into my characters' heads and exploring their inner worlds and the dark corners of them and their worlds. The monsters scratching at the door of the mental basement. Also sometimes monsters outside the characters' heads. And then sometimes I write fluffy cute stuff. Mostly short, though. God I want to finish a novel but I can't seem to get past about 12k words.

What I Don't Write: Novels, apparently. Coffee shop AUs. Normal life or anything that makes me dwell too much on the actual world we have, because I live here full time as it is.

What I Read: A lot of the same things I write. And novels. I have a stack of nonfiction I keep meaning to break into and getting distracted from but conceptually I do enjoy a good book about interesting facets of history, how birds think, the secrets of soil, black holes, that kind of thing.

What I Don't Read: A lot of the same things I don't write. And my TBR pile I GUESS.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Sometimes! I am, not to toot my own horn, a pretty kickass beta reader, but in recent times I haven't had the spoons for it very much. Hopefully I'll get them back because I find it a wonderful opportunity for friendship and mutual growth.

Hey! I'm Adrian, 26, and I live in the UK. I'm a semi-pro SFFH writer; i.e. I've sold a couple of short stories to a few small magazines and am very much a wee ickle baby, ha.

I also am fannish, with an emphasis on the -ish; I write a lot of fanfic, but wouldn't really describe myself as "involved" in fandom outside of reblogging pretty art.

About My Journal: As you can see by my public posts, I talk about music/writing/videogames/books. Writing is basically 70% of my life :'D (and I work full time).
My access-only posts do involve some discussion of writing, but are mainly just introspective journal entries for my own sake. I generally work on an access-for-access basis, but I'm also 100% down to subscribe to someone without giving or getting access in return.

What I Write: Queer sci-fi and horror! I'm currently floating about a novel idea about eldritch space sci-fi horror--with lesbians. Fanfic-wise, I ship many things, but I'm mainly interested in writing stuff that's plot-heavy.

What I Read: Basically anything! Big bias towards SFFH, for obvious reasons, as well as LGBT+ fiction--but I'm also down to read YA, poetry, literary fiction, historical fiction, non-fiction... I've never read a screenplay before? But that doesn't mean I wouldn't, just that I haven't. I'm not a smut writer but I have huge admiration for smut writers. I like F/M, F/F, and M/M pairings equally. I'm totally fine with kink and dead dove/idk what the kids are calling it these days; I just ask that the latter be tagged/under a cut so I can avoid it if required.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Yes! I studied English and creative writing at uni, so am fairly versed in critiquing. I do, however, operate generally on a crit-for-crit basis and also probably wouldn't crit something I don't have good understanding of (e.g. poetry, not because I think it's bad, but because I'm nowhere near a poet).

To be entirely honest, I'm just looking for other writers to hang out with! Even if you write something in a genre I don't or write fic in a fandom I'm not in, that doesn't matter; I just miss being around other writers.

Feel free to comment here or subscribe if you think we'd be a good fit. :-)

About Me: I like writing and reading fanfic, very occasionally, fiction books, I can be either friendly or snob, as they say, sometimes i really don't know how to interact with people despite being a "people-person", this is my first time using this website so i'm still moving around trying to understand how stuff works

About My Journal: As i have absolutely no knowledge how to use this one, hopefully to post the fanfic I wrote that never ended up being published to AO3, unfinished fanfics I have no hopes for finishing it, and maybe some rants? not sure yet.

What I Write: Fanfiction, mostly. I'm a Multifandom writer, my fandom list slowly growing every time I discover something I very much liked.

What I Don't Write: I have no idea how to write nsfw, at all.

What I Read: Again, fanfiction, sometimes mythology, a bit of horror stories, and the occasional dead dove

What I Don't Read: very disturbing stories, like rape/non-con ones, high-level-creepy-stuff

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: nope, i dont edit other people's work

Name: Tarlan ([personal profile] tarlanx)

About Me: I've been a fan of TV and movies for as long as I can recall. I am a multi-fandom writer with a long list of fandoms.

About My Journal: Publicly, I post regular updates on fandom related stuff I am working on, including any updates to my actor websites. I play the odd meme and quiz game, and I share any art/graphics I create plus links to my fiction, which is all hosted on AO3. Privately, I have the rare rant on the unfairness of life and have been known to use the occasional swear word ;D

What I Write: I am a M/M slash fandom writer and most of my stories are PG-PG13 rated - but there are notable exceptions! Current favorites are Joe/Nicky in The Old Guard and Jack/Nathan in Eureka but I have a soft spot for The Magnificent Seven (TV), the Riddick Movies, the Jurassic Park Movies, The X-Files, and disaster movies of all kinds as well as numerous SF and 'horror' (zombies, vampires, werewolves etc) TV shows and movies :)

I'm often tempted to write stories based on the characters from other works portrayed by my favorite actors, including crossovers, AUs, and fusions.

What I Don't Write: I don't tend to write HET or kink

What I Read: I read mostly fanfiction off AO3, but occasionally I work my way through horror books. I have read a number of the Classics and have many more books on my shelf and on my Kindle to read one day!

What I Don't Read: Hmmm.... I'm happy to give anything a read but I'm not really into non-fiction unless it is Physics/Space related.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Sadly I rarely have the time as I am always so busy on my own projects but I could for works under 5k.

About Me: I live in Illinois with my lifepartner, in a large Victorian farmhouse with a yard frequented by wildlife. There is a lively magical community in the area, including a coven and various solitaries, and I’m active in community networking. I enjoy suspension-of-disbelief bungee-jumping and spelunking in other people’s reality tunnels.

About My Journal: I post almost every day, often several times a day.  If you're looking for an active blog, this is a good bet; if you're easily overwhelmed, not so much.  I post a lot about writing, some nature and current events, especially science news.  I share my gardening and birdfeeding experiences, with photos in the warmer months.  I'm an active supporter of crowdfunding and often link to other people's projects.

What I Write: I write primarily original work, and some fanfic for fun.  I post a lot of poetry, some fiction and nonfiction.  My most popular fanfic series is Love Is For Children (The Avengers).  See my Serial Poetry page and How To articles.  The first Tuesday of each month, I host a Poetry Fishbowl in blog; people give me prompts and I write poems based on whatever I get.  Next up will be February 1 with a theme of "flipping expectations."  I also participate in the [community profile] crowdfunding Creative Jam mid-month.  Next up will be February 19-20 on "hopefulness."

What I Read: Anything with words on it.  I am particularly fond of sociological speculative fiction and xenolinguistics.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Yes.  In addition to being a professional writer, I am also a professional editor.  I rarely do editing for free.

About Me: I stan a chaos god, because my life is chaos. I'm mostly a shut in. I don't leave the house much, and talk to myself too much. I do a bunch of art and craft-adjacent things, have the memory of a fruit fly, and will very occasionally go on some adventure up a volcano or something.

About My Journal: Mostly talking about my fic. I post chapter notes there, and occasional meta if I can remember to. Sometimes I talk about RL stuff, which usually only happens if there's something worth talkinga bout.

What I Write: Mostly fanfic. For about the last ten years, it's been pretty much exclusively Norse Marvel. I do write a bit of original fiction as well, about a raccoon dog who is also a TV journalist with a drug problem.

On a more broad scale, I like fiction that pushes boundaries. I like big stories and big ideas, but also like to play with emotions and expectations. If I can find a way to twist and bend a trope, I'll probably do something with it.

I really like writing longform serials. The sort of thing with smaller arcs that tell a larger story. Some of my favourite pieces I've had the most fun with are structured more like manga or comic books in that regard.

What I Don't Write: This is a hard one to quantify. I don't do poetry. I'm not good at it. I don't understand it. I like to joke that I don't to romance, because every time I try it gets twisted and distorted into something else, because the people who live in my head are incapable of being happy.

But on the whole, I don't know. Small emotions are just as valid and fun to explore as big emotions. Epic plot can be just as fun to write as languid slice of life. I've killed off main characters, and married off others. I don't think there are many tropes or genres I haven't explored at the end of the day.

What I Read: In the realm of fanfic, I'll read just about anything if it's in a fandom I'm into. My bookshelves and Audible libraries are mostly non-fiction though. I like memoirs, and collective narratives about real things. Last year, the more memorable ones I read were Endurance (Alfred Lansing), Ranger Confidential (Andrea Lankford), Because Internet (Gretchen McCulloch), Midnight in Chernobyl (Adam Higginbotham), Death in Yellowstone (Lee H Whittlesey), and the Rise and Fall of Ancient Egypt (Toby Wilkinson).

I like Hemingway and Victorian fiction. The Cranford series (Elizabeth Gaskell) is a longtime favourite. Hitchhiker's Guide is another one I adore, which probably lent a lot of influence to my early writing. Jurassic Park also led a good amount of influence, I think. But I don't think I picked up a single work of mainstream fiction all last year. I'm terribly hypocritical, or something.

I do read a lot of comic books though. Comics going digital was a blessing because I have no more room for the damn things in my apartment.

What I Don't Read: Fiction, apparently lol. Genuinely though, I can be really picky. I don't like a lot of YA and "mass market" stories. I read Harry Potter once, as it was coming out, and have never felt the desire to revisit it. I like to read the sort of things that I write, and that's hard to find on the shelves of Barnes & Nobel or Powell's a lot of the time.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Probably not.

Name: V.

Age: 23

Location: USA (east)

About Me: I like writing in plain text editors and using command-line style checkers that gently insult me every time I make my characters swear.

About My Journal: I post about painters and music for the most part. More personal posts about the boring minutiae of my life are access-locked. In the near future, I will hopefully finish writing a Pokemon fanfiction and post it to my journal as well.

What I Write: Academic journal articles (research methodology, statistics), scripts in a troublesome macro language, and Pokemon fanfiction (horror, humor, gen, shipping)

What I Don't Write: Unfortunately, I am not very good at writing poetry for now. I also have no plans to write "original fiction" in the near future. There are a number of things that I'm not good at writing for the time being (visceral action scenes, detailed descriptions of sex acts) but I may end up writing them in the future when I feel more comfortable with my skill level so I won't count them out.

What I Read: I like to read diverse genres of work, but I like low-romance gen fanfiction the most. When reading stories with romantic pairings, I am omnivorous and don't discriminate between slash, femslash, or het. Fandom-wise, I usually tend to read Harry Potter, Detroit: Become Human, and Pokemon fanfiction. I also enjoy reading medical reference texts, ghost stories, and historical records of vampire myths.

What I Don't Read: I don't like to read very long fluffy works or stories that are entirely focused on sex acts/kinks. I have no problem reading stories where characters are racist/homophobic/sexist/etc. but do not enjoy stories where the narrative uncritically promotes prejudice.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: I will not edit anything academic because I already have enough of that in my life... If it's a fanfiction for something I'm familiar with, I can edit and provide commentary. If I'm unfamiliar with the source material or if it's not a fanwork, I can edit for grammar and spelling and that sort of thing.

I am fairly comfortable with academic-flavored writing, but still feel new to writing fiction. If anyone has any tips or links to writing advice, I'd really appreciate it!

About Me: Possibly overenthusiastic and always up to talk.

About My Journal: I'm still setting up so excuse the mess and lack of content, but there's going to be books and there's going to be writing and there's going to be some fandom stuff. (Just a note about the fandom stuff, but I'm late about 5 years on any given series/movie). Honestly I'm just keen to move on from Tumblr.

What I Write: Mostly character driven work -- people finding their place and where/who they want to be, found family, positive relationships in difficult circumstances, etc.

I also love playing with time, the concept of parallel universes bleeding into each other. I really dig throwing a thin layer of the paranormal across my writing and just messing around with that. Love me some spoopy. I guess that all could be shovelled under the SF blanket.

I'm fond of crime (give me a tumultuous relationship between a cop and a professional criminal and I'm there) and exploration (hollow world theory give me give me, also here for space!).

Also a fan of the various punks, here for all of them but I lean towards optimism and positivity more than anything else and will apply that readily.

Gonna toss this out there for anyone interested, but I'm always down for a joint 'verse/collaborative writing/casual RP. hmu.

What I Don't Write: Anything that doesn't involve the above mentioned, generally. I don't have many HS aged characters. Werewolves, vampires, etc, I don't work with often if at all. Romance as a focal point is not something I do either.

What I Read: I'm big on medical history and exploration, and have read a few books on those topics this year.

Fiction wise it really depends on what I'm feeling and sometimes that means I start three or four books before settling on something. I'm a fan of Anne Carson's work, and have stumbled onto Jane Rawson who I'm looking forward to reading more. Stephen Graham Jones is another author who I'm keen to read more on.

What I Don't Read: Not so big on YA or high fantasy.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: I'm happy to beta if it's something I'm interested in and it isn't too long, and if I have the time!

Generally speaking, I'm down to talk about the mechanics of writing and telling you that you got this! Look, I just... really like to write and I'm probably too excited about it at any given moment, haha.

What I Don't Write: m/m stuff usually (I have done but not often). I'm just not good at it.

What I Read: Sci-Fi, popular murder mysteries, non-fiction

What I Don't Read: Romance novels,

Name: Rowan

Age: 26

Location: Australia

About me: I'm also on Ao3 and nanowrimo (as roadmagician)

About my journal: some personal stuff, music, book reviews, venting about writing

What I write: SF/F. The plot varies but it usually has an element of the Fantastic or Weird about it. I love applying plots from other genres to SF/F and playing around with tropes (eg. drama/slice-of-life/mystery/thriller/horror). As I get older I find myself preferring the struggles of older protagonists and broader casts of characters. For fanfiction, I tend to either write 'fix-it' stuff for works I don't even like that much, or romance and erotica.

What I don't write: Straight romance. Drama in a 'mundane' setting. Anything relentlessly bleak and grimdark. For fanfic, I won't write stuff along the lines of ABO and mpreg, anything underage or incest, gore, fetish stuff.

What I read: Big fan of stuff in the vein of Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams, so Rivers of London is my jam. Spec-fic with an unusual bent - Gormenghast, China Mieville, Mortal Engines, there was this whole series about sky pirates I loved as a kid which I can't remember the name of... Will always love Ursula LeGuin for giving me A Wizard of Earthsea as a child. Shades of horror (Dracula.) I like Lovecraft in theory for the ideas he spawned, in practice... no. Mystery with an historical feel (ACD Holmes, Christie, Sayers, Chesterton...) I also really love comedy along the lines of P.G. Wodehouse and Cold Comfort Farm. Right now I'm big into nonfiction (science stuff, medical). Interested in reading more magical realism, and more LGBT romance with a happy ending.

What I don't read: not as much SF/F these days, ironically. I became a picky reader at the age of 10 after I burned out on fantasy. Am very "over" The Hero's Journey, though I can appreciate its usefulness as a learning tool and have used it myself. See also: my 'don't write' list.

Could I edit someone else's work: Possibly. I'm open to beta reading.

About Me: One of the Tumblr refugees. I'm a hopeless fangirling nerd aspiring to originality, and I've been writing fanfiction for a year now. I also have a tendency to babble. both in writing and talking when I'm excited, and can get a bit of a potty mouth when I'm emotional. Outside of writing, I read both original fic and fanfic, and love to listen to film scores. I'm always going back to my favorite books, movies, and shows, and I'm excited to make new friends on here!

About My Journal: Mostly snippets, ideas, and ficlets from what I'm writing. Updating will get a bit sporadic at times, but I'm usually toying with some idea or story. I love doing meta on characters from my favorite fandoms. Random stuffodd quotes, cool science stuff, trailers, author announcements, etcwill also make an appearance or five.

What I Write: Currently, I'm writing two incredibly long fics for Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, respectively; I'm coming off a hiatus for Real Life/emotional reasons, and getting back into the swing of things. I plan to explore many other fandoms in the future, and will write one-shots when the mood strikes. Lastly, I'm currently a student, and panromantic asexual, which is reflected somewhat in my writing.

What I Don't Write: Erotica, smut, or horror of any sort. Nothing gratuitous besides angst or fluff, either.

What I Read: For original fiction, I prefer anything fantasy or science fiction. In fanfiction, I'll read anything that isn't erotica or horror, in: Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Tolkien's works, Kingsman, Star Trek, Star Wars, James Bond, Horatio Hornblower, Fullmetal Alchemist, Doctor Who, Pride and Prejudice, Marvel and DC, and generally whatever I'm obsessed with that month.

What I Don't Read: What I don't write.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: In the future, maybe? Right now I'm trying to work through my own... Send me a rec from a fandom I'm in and I'll definitely read it and comment, though!

About Me: I'm just a hood chick who writes sexy stories. I also play video games... badly. Currently I'm obsessed with everything Mortal Kombat.

About My Journal: My journal will feature most of my fanfics and my original works. I also post my opinions about certain characters/series that I'm a fan of under the tag #from a fangirl's perspective.

What I Write: I write salacious, brusque-styled fanfiction featuring heterosexual couples. The lascivious nature of my writing has gotten me into some trouble in the past with people who didn't agree with the sexiness of my fictions. I don't really care, though. I'm gonna write what I wanna. I'm also getting my feet wet in writing original fiction.

What I Don't Write: I'm not experienced in writing yaoi/yuri. Also, no one will ever convince me to write anything featuring bestiality, incest, romanticizing rape/abuse, loli/shota, extreme kink, etc. Even I have my limits.

What I Read: Currently reading Mortal Kombat fanfics right now. I mostly read adult fanfiction, though.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: I couldn't because I'm a major procrastinator.

About Me: I'm not necessarily a convert from tumblr, but I did keep my fandom blogging there and my personal blogging here for a few years, but I figure this is a better place to put things in case things go kaboom.

About My Journal: Mostly going to be fandom and crossposts from my patreon including my writing projects, links to AO3 and whatnot. Probably a side of religion behind a filter as well as personal stuff.

What I Write: I haven't written fanfic in a while, but I will when the mood strikes me, and frankly I have a lot of fandoms to choose from but you're probably going to see mostly Persona fanfiction. Otherwise, I write original fiction, and am working on a novel right now that's fantasy with some twists. I also am known to write erotica from time to time but if you want that you'll need to contact me privately.

What I Don't Write: There isn't a lot I don't write, tbh. Fandoms I'm not in, I suppose, and poetry is rare, but otherwise most things are fair game.

What I Read: Any and all, but I'm especially digging Horizon Zero Dawn fanfic right now.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Yes, I'd love a chance to flex my editing skills, but I have the right to refuse as I'm often at work or doing commissions on the side and might not have time for an in-depth critique.

About Me: I'm a genderfluid NB individual (They/them pronouns, please!) who likes writing fanfiction, but is far better at imagining things rather than ever actually writing stuff down.  I'm migrating here due to the Tumblr Purge, and hoping to find some cool writers to... follow? track? subscribe to? I'll get the lingo soon enough.

About My Journal: My Journal will contain my SFW works, and I have a link to a "private" community where only I can post my completely self-indulgent porn.

What I Write: 98% Fanfic, usually with some sort of OC of my creation, maybe if I'm really suffering from a bout of crippling depression you'll get some free verse poetry, but that's very few and far between.  Porn is definitely on the table as well.  Genres inside of fanfic will vary between just about everything, but I thrive in the futuristic.  I try to stay as canon compliant as possible, favoring Universe Alterations over Alternate Universes, but sometimes you just gotta take the characters and build a new world for them.

What I Don't Write: SFW: I tend to avoid stuff that is purely romance, but that's about it.  NSFW: gore, vore, or anything involving bodily wastes. Both: Real Person Fiction.

What Fandoms I Write: The Fallout Franchise, Steam Powered Giraffe, Star Trek (all of them)

What I Read: I like Hurt/Comfort a lot, but I don't think I have a specific type of thing I like to read. My taste in fiction is fairly eclectic, just like my taste in music.

What I Don't Read: Real Person Fiction. Coffee-shop AUs (or anything along those lines).

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Yes, but my time is limited, so I wouldn't be able to commit to beta reading a long fic.  One or two chapters would be my limit.

Location: U.S.

About Me: I'm one of the many new members currently migrating over from Tumblr. I'm currently trying to establish a regular writing schedule (I hope to be writing daily by graduation), as writing is one of the things that brings me the most joy in the world. I also hope to improve my own writing skills in the process, as I often doubt my writing abilities. I tend to be a bit shy, and it takes me a while to really open up to others. Aside from writing, I love music, reading, and either watching theories or video essays on YouTube or rewatching my favorite shows. I'm looking forward to hopefully making some new friends!

About My Journal: Right now, I currently plan for my journal to act as, well, a journal for both my thoughts on various topics and my writing, both for fanfics and original works. I also plan to have some analytical posts in the future studying various Greek mythological figures, aspects of fandoms I'm in, and potentially things going on in the LGBTQ+ community (I'm a biromantic asexual somewhere on the non-binary spectrum). From time to time, I also plan on doing reviews for books and albums that I've encountered, though I do not plan on making this a main component of the journal.

What I Write: I currently tend to write long-form fanfics and original fiction, though I am trying to write shorter pieces as well. I tend towards speculative fiction, though three of my current projects are somewhat historical. For fanfics, I usually write AUs and enjoy soulmate AUs a lot. For my current fandoms, I only have Katekyo Hitman Reborn! fics up, but I currently have a couple of Harry Potter fics in the works and also plan to write for Miraculous Ladybug soon.

What I Don't Write: I don't ever plan to write erotica, and I also don't really care for horror, thrillers, or gore either. I don't currently write comedy, true crime, or mysteries, though I might potentially try my hand at the latter in the future.

What I Read: I read pretty much what I write (in other words, speculative fiction), though I prefer stories featuring LGBTQ+ and/or POC characters, as I happen to be both. I currently switch between YA and more mature works, as I appreciate both for different reasons. For fanfics, I tend to read either plot-driven or character-driven stories - I'm not the biggest fan of fics that focus on the more "cutesy" or sensual aspects of relationships. The main fandoms I read are Harry Potter, KHR! and Miraculous, though I do read the occasional The Good Place, MCU, and Percy Jackson fanfic as well.

What I Don't Read: Erotica and anything that falls under it, though I might make an exception for fanfics in my fandoms if the characters are particularly well written, or if the plot is intriguing enough. On the other hand, I also don't care for pure fluff most of the time.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: In theory, yes, but at the moment, no. I will say when I believe I am able to, however.

About Me:
I am super new to DW, looking for more places to post writing-related stuff and talk to people with Tumblr's recent issues. I've been told that I tend to be very terse when talking to people? So if that's how I come across, please know that it's not your fault, that's just how I talk. ^_^

About My Journal:
I have no idea how active it will be. Probably not terribly. But hey, I may as well give it a shot!

What I Write:
Urban fantasy, fantasy, sci-fi, mostly short stories, fanfiction, always mostly gen

What I Don't Write:
Romance, horror, space operas

Postings:
Mostly fic recs, little tiny bits of story, art, headcanons for assorted fandom stuff

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work:
Absolutely!

Age: Entering crone-dom
Country: USA

I'm an LJ refugee nostalgic for the "old ways" before FB, tumblr, twitter etc.

Writing interests: LOST, Phantom of the Opera, and original fic.

What I write: Mostly romance (longfic), with some gen (mostly one-shots.)

Most postings: My fanfic, plus how-the-sausage-is-made notes about same.

More: I'm open to serious discussion about writing: narrative structures, literary themes & devices, tropes, and my favorite: mythological and religious influences in fiction. Most of what I do online is write, or talk about writing.

Greetings!

About Me: I hate "about me" things. lol I never know what to write. I'm heading into what society would call middle age and I call "Holy Cow! I made it!" But, I neither look, nor act like it. I'm still an eclectic geek and nerd at heart and fly those banners proudly. I love all things papercrafting and mixed media art. I have a love affair with words, pens, and notebooks. My reputation at the office is one of pure organization, although you'd never know it to look at my house.

About My Journal: I am a casual journaler and commenter. I post when I have the time and inclination. Generally, if I don't feel I have something to add to a conversation other than "me too!", I won't comment. (The exception being hugs when needed.) My journal here is mostly for fannish things and personal things. Topics can everywhere from Marvel to planners to privacy/security to nature-based faiths to what my Second Life avatar is wearing this week.

What I Write: For a living, I write technical documentation and support content. For fun, I write fiction, both fan and original, mostly in some sub-genre of speculative fiction or romance or both.

What I Don't Write: Pregnancy stories, teenage main characters, a variety of hardcore kinks, PWP

What I Read: If it has words, I'll generally give it a shot. But, I tend to read what I write most often: science fiction, fantasy, supernatural, romance, various non-fiction works depending on what I'm researching at the moment. I do a lot of random/just because research. So, the topics really can run the gamut.

What I Don't Read: Badly out of character fanfiction or any of the subjects I don't write.

Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: I do this as part of my job, actually, as well as occasionally beta-reading for fests.
