Name: Bairn Sidhe (also known as C.G. Webb and Christie)
Age: 29
Location: Kansas City
About Me: I'm a soon-to-be college graduate, living life and trying to figure out if writing can be a career as well as a vocation. Wiccan, poly, kinky, a-spec, neurodivergent, and a major geek, I'm used to being on the outside of the norm, and I've come to like it out here. I use she/her pronouns and actively prefer people telling me their pronouns to expecting me to guess. I room with three cats, two of whom may get mentions in my Muse News segment, the third is rather shy.
About My Journal: Writing, mostly the prose and poetry parts, so far, although when I host prompt days and fishbowls I accept all sorts of challenges. The main line I've seen people get into is Super Queers, a superheroic setting where a good 90% of the main characters are out of the QUILTBAG of queer orientations and identities, although I have a number of other nascent worlds.
What I Write: Prose, Poetry, Scripts, and Screenplays. Mostly in fantasy or speculative fiction, I prefer to work with genres that let me stretch and exaggerate, to look at new ideas and shiny thoughts.
What I Don't Write: Literary Fiction, much to the dismay of my writing professors. Hardcore gore, sympathy-porn, and darkfic (mostly, there are minor exceptions on a case-by case basis).
What I Read: Much the same as what I write, with great fondness for superheroes, epic fantasy with a twist, and time travel.
What I Don't Read: Again, see what I don't write. I'm also less prone to reading other people's scripts and screenplays, unless actively collaborating on a project. I prefer to see the work in it's finished form if I'm not working it.
Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Yes. I've served as a line editor and as a content beta reader (less actual changes, more notes and feedback to use/disregard as you will).
