Name: Alex
Age: 20s
Location: US
About Me: I've been writing semi-seriously for almost ten years. Most of my focus has been on young adult and middle grade stories--children's books are what made me fall in love with reading, and even though I've read and loved plenty of adult fiction, I'll always keep coming back to them.
About My Journal: Not a whole lot of content up yet, but I'm planning to post mostly about books I've read, the shows I've watched, and hopefully my writing process. I've been in a bit of a creative rut for the last couple months and am slowly getting myself unstuck.
What I Write: Mostly YA and MG, mostly fantasy or horror. I love emotional stories with interesting characters and, usually, some element of creepiness involved.
What I Don't Write: I'm up to try anything, though you can probably expect most of it to be pretty genre-focused. I'm not all that great at writing more "literary" fiction.
What I Read: You can find a more detailed list over at my journal, but basically anything well-written, especially if it's fantasy, historical fiction, or contemporary. Some of my favorite authors are Megan Whalen Turner, Michael Buckley, S.E. Hinton, and Dorothy Allison.
What I Don't Read: Not really into erotica. Other than that, I'll try anything!
Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Probably not at the moment, just because I don't have enough time. Doesn't mean I wouldn't love to read it! :)
