Name: Meep
Age: 30
Location: East Coast, USA
About Me: I am an elementary school librarian, currently on indefinite medical leave. I recently moved back to the States after spending most of my 20s living overseas in Japan.
About My Journal: I write sporadically about my everyday life.
What I Write: I write poetry, short stories, and novels. My poetry and short stories are mostly speculative, especially urban fantasy. My novels are middle grade, usually contemporary/realistic. All of my work features disabled & queer representation. My resolution for 2020 is to submit short stories and poetry for publication and start a Patreon.
What I Don't Write: I don't write erotica/NSFW/smut or horror.
What I Read: I would like to find a partner with similar writing interests and goals.
What I Don't Read: I don't read horror, although I can read stories with horror elements like ghosts or vampires. I'm not comfortable reading about present tense interpersonal abuse; stories about survivors/victims recovering from abuse are OK.
Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: Absolutely! I'm looking for a critique partner, and it's only fair to swap stories. I have experience doing critique exchanges with SCBWI and I do/did collection development at two elementary school libraries, so I have an eye for the kidlit market. I can do sensitivity reads for ADHD/OCD, lesbians, parental loss in childhood, and chronic pain/chronic fatigue.
