What It Do Ba-BY?
Mar. 1st, 2020 03:47 amName: Zaira
Age: 26 turning 27 (in 14 days)
Location: St. Louis, MO
About Me: I'm just a black chick that is homegrown in the Midwest. I like to mind my own business, but also simultaneously having an opinion about things I did say I would mind my own business about. LOL I like video games, comics, Bollywood films, Asian dramas (the few non-toxic ones there are) and watching my favorite Youtubers.
About My Journal: My journal at the moment is a migration hub for all the stories I originally posted on my Writing Tumblr, it does include an old essay (it's a personal essay I wrote for Creative Writing class in college), old roleplay posts, stories I have posted on AO3 / FFNet and stories I haven't posted to either platform. At the moment, I am posting my large Final Fantasy VIII story out of chronological order. There are also personal posts on there, but that's hidden behind a "Friend's Only". Considering returning to the Overwatch fandom to write tings, but right now my muse is in FF8.
What I Write: At the moment: Fan-Fiction, queer heterosexual stuff (because I am not straight and I don't expect my characters to fully be either), erotica, slash and expanded world-building on some fandoms. (IE: FFVIII). Expect people of color because as a black woman, I love to see it. Also, I prefer to have elements of realism (particular in terms of emotions, situations, romances) in my works. If it doesn't make sense, I'll either find a way or just throw it to the waaay side.
What I Don't Write: I don't write a lot of hard taboo kinks, I do not write romanticized toxic relationships/behaviors, and anything that probably skeeves me out or pisses me off midway through. I don't write high fantasy because oof, that's a lot.
What I Read: Fanfiction, erotica that is preferably written by someone that knows how the human body works, adventure, historical fantasy / historical pieces, supernatural/paranormal things, anything with cute romantic tropes, comics, mythology-- I will read a lot that doesn't make me uncomfortable.
What I Don't Read: Anything that is toxic that gets romanticized. Probably kinks I don't write myself / refuse to read.
Could I Edit Someone Else's Work: I could. For fanfiction, I only edit/critique things I have watched/played/read. I do not do anything fandom blind. But I prefer to be asked than someone to just assume I'll do it.
