Name: Autumn
Age: 36
Location: Maine
About Me:
Avid reader, writer, and gamer. 36 years old. Owned by Merlin- my beagle, rat terrier, chihuahua mix. Student of history. Never know what to say about myself in these kind of things... should be easy being a writer, no? It isn't. I'll put this in your hands. Curious? Want to know more? Ask me.
About My Journal:
Entries in my journal run the gamut from mundane daily activities, rants and raves of both the negative and positive variety, updates of what I'm reading, occasional updates of what I'm writing, and my daily q's post where I post a few questions for my flist to answer and discuss (although they aren't always daily).
What I Write:
I write non-fiction and fiction. Non-fiction essays and papers tend to be historical in nature. I occasionally will write for Examiner (not difficult- anyone who can string a sentence together can get work with them). Genres that I tend to write in the fictional category are historical fiction, alternate history, dystopian, contemporary, paranormal. I don't limit myself though. Other than strict romance, I'll dabble in anything.
What I Don't Write:
Romance only... some of my stories have elements of romance, but I don't care for the genre on its own.
What I Read:
Historical fiction, historical non-fiction, mystery, thrillers, biographies, science fiction, fantasy.
What I Don't Read:
Romance. A ton of YA- I will read some to make recommendations for my god imps, but I don't make a habit of it.
Could I Edit Someone Else's Work:
I could. If asked, I might be able to take a look at a short piece, but I am fairly busy and belong to a local writer's group where we often edit each other's pieces so my editing platter is usually full. That and commas are my enemy.
